In order for an area rug to be
considered antique, it would have to have been woven before 1900!
Beetles and moths
can chew through an entire area rug in under a year. Your rugs need to be store
in the right conditions in order to properly preserve these masterpieces!
FYI – Rugs in use
can also be infested and eaten. The damage can usually be found under large
furniture because we often neglect to vacuum under them. Just flip your rug
over and you may see damage!
At this point you
may be asking yourself if there is any way to prevent this…the answer is
ROUTINE!
* Did You Know –
